You are lying if you say that you thought ND

  • had the game won after they had made a first down with 42 seconds to go in the game ! Actually, I am just kidding you guys, but I wonder how many of us thought that if any team could lose in that situation, this team is the one.

Have you ever seen a team make so many different kinds of mistakes as this one ? Inconsistancy, stupidity, and lack of dicipline seems to be almost everywhere. (0ffense, special teams etc. The defense is doing well ) .

One has to start asking, since there are so many different kinds of mistakes, Is it the kids, the coaching or both ?

One for certain, when a team makes so many different kinds of mistakes the buck has to stop with the coaches ?

Also, Tommy nuts today ? It seemed that he usually chose to throw to the guy that was triple coverd !

  • m not going to join in the anti Tommy sentiment though he did not lay well overall today. I will say if Kelly believes that he's the best option to put in the game then I have to ask why are we not recruiting more qbs.

My hope is Everett id the man but Kelly wants to give him the year to learn the system. why Hendrix isnt an option by now (he came in with Tommy) I am strting to think maybe he's not the guy for the system either.

Tommy stepped up on the last drive so put a check in the intngibes box.

I can't say that its necessarily the coaches. The coaches job is to put the best 22 out there and put the kids in position win football games and to make the plays you recruited them for. When M. Floyd is in the position to make a play 9 times out of 10 he's going to make if tthats what makes him so good. That's why kelly and the staff move him around so much to put him in a position to make a play. The mistakes are critical, but the irish players and coaching staff stay the course and find a way to win much like they did last year. Wins aren't all gonna come easy and be pretty. Stick with the game plan take it one game at a time one play at a time. I agree today wasn't one of Tommy's better days, but to be perfect on what was to be the game winning drive says a lot IMO. I don't care if it was Dayne, Everett, or Hindrix back there that's how you face adversity and find a way to win.

  • I'm beginning to think that there's a stark contrast in coaching philosophies between our offense and defensive staff. The defense plays incredibly well for the most part, but our offense is sloppy. I think Diaco demands excellence, while whoever is calling the shots on offense is lazy and/or stubborn.
