    To all you Notre Dame fans. I can call you fans because it is obvious you post with a passion that is rivaled nowhere else. However, some of you, and YOU know who you are, go onto facebook and twitter and harass 18-22 year old kids.

    For the most part, many of you have full time jobs or are what we all would consider mature adults. Obviously maturity occurs on a spectrum. There are different levels of maturity, and some of you, and once again, you know who YOU are, are lacking some basic level maturity skills.

    You’re not helping. You think that by talking to a 19 year old kid who doesn’t know you will get him to change his mind. Do you think calling him names and harassing him will get him to re-think his decision? The only thing you’re doing is alienating the rest of this fan base from the players on the team.

    Aaron Lynch is gone. He’s going home to Florida so he can be with his fiancé and be happy. There is nothing wrong with that. He didn’t quit on anyone. He did it before the start of the season, he was honest about his situation and he left. It’s not like he refused to get on the bus on the way to a game because he wasn’t starting. Even in a situation like that, we the fans have no right to harass these CHILDREN on social networks.

    One more thing;

    Social psychology points to the fact that human beings really cannot be close to more than 100 people at any point in time (And that is AT MOST). But the truth is many of us really only have 5-7 people that we can rely on for sound advice at any given time. So, to those of you with 409 “FRIENDS” or 1387 followers, you really only have 100 people who really give a damn what you think, and really they don’t care all that much.

    Now, for the most part, I take most of these posts with a grain of salt, but some of you are making the situation so much worse for everyone. Either get on the bus and buckle up or shut the hell up.

    Think before you post, and remember. You’re probably not helping.

  • I don't care if he stays or goes. Having said that, what's he going to do if he plays Pro ball and gets drafted by maybe Seattle. Is he going to go home if he's homesick. I'm glad he played at ND for 1 year but it's time to step up in life! You get out of it what you put into it. I wish Him Well

  • You're right doors and after hearing what AL's mom said it makes me a bit embarrassed. Thankfully she knows all ND fans are not like this. It's also sad these bozos post crud here and loop us all into that boat. IMO a true hearted ND fan tips his cap in respect and wishes them well and does his best to move on. Too bad we can't ban them here and there.
