warning reading this will make you a lot dumber.
Fyi this came from the PSU board.
I have an ND buddy that I really want to go off on, but am holding back as long as I can. How can this guy chastise Penn State (and my views on the NCAAs decision...thinking they went overboard) for child molestation (which we all should, regardless), yet he'll support a religion, that the school bases their beliefs on (in which I was raised and don't practice anymore), is notoriously known for covering up child molestation [by priests]? Hypocrisy, total hypocrisy!
edited to reword as best as I could to state that ND is not supporting child molestation.

He has a point but it is misplaced. If ND fans get on their high horse on this, it really goes against the Catholic teachings. The rebuttal imo is that the Catholic church did indeed cover up child abuse and ,rightfully so, paid a steep price. Likewise, PSU is now paying its steep price. ND fans in general are not hoping that PSU no longer exists, but rather pay the price for putting a game ahead of children's lifes. In fact many ND fans think the punishment is too great (not me). PSU fans need to understand, just because the Catholic Church sinned does not mean PSU should be able to without consequences. Likewise, we do need to be careful with those stones we are throwing.
