Have espn work these numbers!
Bama's Scoring Offense- 38.46
Notre Dame Scoring Offense- 26.75
Bama Scoring Defense- 10.69
Notre Dames Scoring Defense- 10.33
I see a couple of advantages for Bama. 1) Experience playing in the title game for players and staff. 2) BCS title experience at QB. Those two points are huge. Don't doubt me on this. The only Irish player that might be a bundle of nerves may be EG. He has to have a clear head and play relaxed. Theo and Cierre can help out. Both are auditioning for the NFL and should play like crazed dogs. I will give The Tide a slight advantage only because of experience in the title game.....not because of player talent and/or the abilities of the coaching staff. One thing ESPN doesn't and won't mention is gray shirting and over recruiting that gives Bama the ability to appear super human. Others do it, Nick Saban refined it. Let's do this.
The only advantage for Notre Dame is they are the underdog with a great defense. Kind of like Alabama in 1992 which destroyed Miami. There is only one difference. Unlike the Miami team of 92, Bama will be ready to play football. The Bama team will not enter the game thinking they have already won just by showing up.
Bama should be healthy. Going through a SEC schedule can be tough. I do believe bama is more talented depth wise. Which I think will give us the edge in the 4th quarter. Our defense is no where near the defense it was a year ago,, so us bama fans know that our team is not super human. It should be a good game. Looking forward to it.
cool !!!!go Notre Dame
He looked fine--and played great--against Oklahoma and USC. Don't be surprised if he has a great game.
If ND plays Alabama 5 times we win one, and that will be on January 7th.
Bama will line up with that all American line and run over ND with the big and fast tailbacks. You have no clue.
Nix is going to dominate Jones and that All American line will implode under the assault of Lewis-Moore, Tuitt, Calabrese, Fox and Teo. We are absolutely going to blow up Alabama's running game and McCarron will be under siege.
Take out the Bama cupcakes and re-calculate. We played 2 teams the finished with losing records, you played 6.
You gave up an average of 28.5 to Georgia and Texas A&M, more than we gave up in regulation to a single team this year.

Notre Dame has not played an offense or a defense as good as they will see on January 7.
You can throw stones at our schedule all you want... Although I am willing to bet,,, you would not trade schedules with us..
And you went beyond regulation with Pitt!!!!! Please!!!!
If both teams play their best games,,, bama wins by at least 2 tds...

Sounds scary. I'm sure the ND boys are really worried.
Alabama may be faster at some positions than Notre Dame. But I'm going to say that Notre Dame has at least 6 kids faster than the fastest player on Alabama's team--George Atkinson, Josh Atkinson, Chris Brown, Davonte Neal, Bennett Jackson, and Keivarae Russell. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the "fast" tailbacks at Alabama are slower than our guys.
It seems like a lot of "experts" seem to have missed just how much Kelly has upgraded the speed of the Irish.
It's been fun surprising opponents that have underestimated our talent all year long. This will be no different. Looking forward to it. GO IRISH!
Hey,,, Notre Dame is the one that is receiving all the love from the Media... The super human defense and Golson being as good if not better than Johnny Football.. Not sure anyone is underestimating the ND talent...
Maybe y'all are the one's underestimating your own team...
The evidence that Alabama gets a break from the media is that they are in the national championship game for the second year in a row without really deserving to be there.
In the BCS, this year Notre Dame "deserved" to be in the game as much as anyone ever has because it is the only undefeated team which played a major college schedule. Alabama, which lost to a mediocre Texas A&M team, just got chosen over other teams which are equally or more deserving such as Oregon and Kansas State.
Last year they were "chosen" as well, even though they had already lost to the other chosen team which in a game in which they couldn't even score a single touchdown. They didn't even win their division in the SEC and so weren't in the SEC title game. How can you be a national champion after that? If Alabama is such a great team then they need to earn their way into the championship game rather than counting on politicking every year.
This seems like Deja vu. ND fans are either jealous or scared. Probably a little of both. I know how you can remedy the jealousy,, just join the SEC. As far as being scared, can't help y'all. Because you have good reason to be. Kind of like LSU fans last year.
Jealous of what? A school that graduates 46% of students? What an embarrassment. I doubt anybody on the fb team is scared of the big bad tide.
The underestimating comment was directed at you bama trolls predicting a 2 td victory if we both play our "best." I'm not sure what that means but let's hope u man up and admit which team is better when u lose instead of looking for excuses about how bama didn't play to it's potential
Do some research!
Fear The Tide!
I am not trolling! Two TDs is my honest opinion. I am not over here to aggravate. I know some alabama fans are trolling. Y'all are also putting out the insulting t-shirts. Talking about graduation rates... And some of y'all need to do a little research before you make statements.
Let's look at these stats. ND has played in 3 BCS Bowls since 1998....
You lost 41-9 to Oregon St..
You lost 34-20 to Ohio St.
You lost 41-14 to LSU.
We will see how this year goes....
Dude. Y'all here on our site where we meet to talk. I'm sure there's plenty of ignorant stuff posted there based on some of what I've seen here. You are a troll by definition because you're a bama fan trolling on an ND site. If y'all don't like what y'all see, then y'all can go back to your own site. 2 tds can ve an "opinion" but that's what I mean by underestimating our talent because that ain't close to happenin

Sure I would.... Our schedule was FAR tougher than yours.
Bama is going to LOSE by at least 2 tds
Where are you pulling these numbers? With a little quick research I find an overall GSR is 85 and a football GSR of 75. Clearly not as good as ND but doesn't that rank in the top 15? This is a focus of our coaching staff and it appears they have made significant improvement in developing fine young men and women. I think it's extremely important for education to be the primary focus and to discount the efforts of an institution that has accomplished as much is extremely narrow minded.
As for the game, I'm excited to see this matchup. I believe it's going to be a great game and can't wait to get it underway. Anyone who doesn't recognize that Notre Dame is an excellent and fundamentally sound football team doesn't really know the game. I give Alabama the slight edge but that doesn't mean we'll win. I guess we'll have to watch it to find out.
Good luck and Roll Tide.
You are correct with The Tides GSR numbers. Much improved over the last 4 years or so. Some of the other SEC programs need to take notice on how and why programs like Bama and Florida are getting better with their graduation rates. Oklahoma is the worst of the worst. I don't even know how they can qualify for a bowl game when they don't even graduate half of their players. The bad part is these numbers take into account players that have transferred and left early for the NFL and still the Sooners GSR is embarrassing.
177 yards with 0 TD's and 0 INT's against Okies 45th ranked D. Golsen has played against 4 top 25 Defenses. Against those teams he averaged 141 yards 1 TD and 1 INT. I would be very surprised if he has a "great game"
Eat clean. Train Hard.
