no way that was DPI by the guy guarding Eifert....the ball being lobbed didn't help either.
Never fails, some slob from another board has to run his mouth. Even if It doesn't effect his team at all.
Do these losers really pay to troll ND boards?
" Mom, get in nwaw, Notre Dame cheated again, @%^#%"
- typical ND troll
The refs were terrible, they missed numerous calls against both teams. The pass interference call on Russell on Piit's first scoring drive should have been called on the Pitt receiver when he pushed off. If the refs got that correct, Pitt would not have scored their first td..
Hey Bama....you should send the guy who made your schedule a Christmas card. Western Carolina? Western Kentucky? Florida Atlantic? Assorted SEC bottom feeders like Ole Miss and Auburn? You've played two good teams this year. And, LSU badly outplayed Bama yesterday. Lucky for you they have a moron as a coach.
And the missed FG by Pitt in OT.....Notre Dame had two players in the game with the #2 jersey on....oops....tough for officials to see that unless they are standing right next to each other, but could've cost you the game....
As I stated before in another thread....Pitt chose the officials. The visiting team chooses the officials. Can I make that any clearer? Calls come and go. They do for Bama, Oregon and kansas State. ND has had their share of calls go against them with plenty of griping about it. The fact that Pitt converted on only one 3rd down, missed a chip FG for the win and was all but shut down in the 4th Quarter and in all 3 OTs probably had more to do with their loss than a pass interference call. ND had 3 turnovers and still kept it close. We play with a non existent Special Teams and still kept it close. We are not the best 9-0 team in the nation but we are 9-0. The Pitt fans need to stop complaining. It's like one huge daycare with all the crying going on.
Id rather be lucky than good!
And the Pitt incompletion that was a fumble. The non-existent holding calls on the Pitt o-line. The "delay of game" penalty on Irish D line for shifting laterally. The blatant holding call on one of Pitt's receiver on Graham's long run, that wasn't called. Did you watch the game?
Yes I did....
Then why would you point out one error and neglect all of the others?
It's akin to saying Ohio State will always be a cheater because of tatoo-gate.
There are always missed calls during a game...when Braxton scored on PSU there was an obvious hold missed at the 1 yard line....
The difference in my opinion is most of these calls don't happen on the possible last play of the game that has such influence on the outcome...so the no call on the FG attempt to win the game stands out a bit more than a hold that happened in the 1st quarter...
I'm not flaming ND....just saing the Luck of the Irish kicked in and maybe it is indeed your year....
Sometimes you need to be good AND have luck! In fact, almost every NC team had some luck during the season. As I said after the Navy game....I could see the luck was changing for the Irish.
absolutely..... I have no problem admitting the NC tOSU won in '02 was only achieved with a dose of luck during the season...Purdue game? 4th and 5 and Krenzel throws to the end zone for a 35 yard TD? Cincinnati throwing an interception at end of game when inside our 10 yard line about to take lead...
Definitely need some luck, a few bounces of the ball, a few "favorable" calls to go your way....
