I'm sorry but I have to vent this
Alabama is such a paper tiger it isn't even funny. They play low rent directional schools who have no talent and only have to "get up" for 2 games a year (LSU-Auburn) who else??
Do they travel across the country and play Clemson, FSU? Oregon USC... No they are such fakes it isn't even funny.
Let me tell you-statistical they are play great but look at who they play??
Do they have talent, of course, do they have a good scheme in accordance with that talent, of course but in terms of being the #1 team in the country they are not. If you want to regarded as the number one team in the country you need to play the country. Where the days when they would play Texas(gone) where are the days when they would play OU (gone). Teams in the SEC cleverly schedule so while their record say 13-0 6 of those wins are against sub-par talent and can rest their players. Ever wonder why they never have injured players... Cause they only play their starters half the game!
Teams need to get past this big bad fear of all these future NFLs and punch them in the face. Ol Miss drove it right down the field on them and scored within 3 min. After that Alabama scored and the fear set it. Do not give me this crap about well they played Michiagn, so did ND and we picked off 5 straight passes and we are no where near Alabams level of talent.
Put Alabama up against some real talent once and a while and their record will get a lot more real. They refuse to travel outside of the south outside of teams that play their style of game. You call it clever I call it BS, if anything they should be ranked Number 10 until they play a couple top 20 teams a year, OUTSIDE OF THEIR CONF. They won't they will just keep scheduling half ass opponents rest their starters for the 2-3 games they have to try at while the other team is fighting its butt off all season cause they aren't bunch of "pu55*** like the tide are.
Sabens figured it out at Michigan state. Play a lot of good teams, not a lot of wins play a lot of crappy teams a lot of wins and just play hard against the teams that have the same level of talent. Coaches don't change over night, he is the same coach that failed in Miami and East Lansing, he just has the schedule to match his ability... Shitty!!!
You deserve to be banned not for breaking rules, but for ignorance.

Mr. CraigR, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I agree with this to a point. They play mostly patsys. Sorry it is what it is. Guess im an idiot also.
Ok in your stupid "I know better then thou BS" is YOU didnt state a fact.
You just said "your stupid, nah nah, the teacher is looking now so you can't say anything back" elementary grade rant you had.
I hate people who just try to counter other people by just called them stupid then moving on.. With no facts no way to actually intelligently retort.. Just say something that my 7 year old nephew would laugh at in class and say " you are so stupid I will not bother to mention any facts just call you stupid and so by knocking someone down I look taller....
Alabama is a fake, they play no really hard games on their schedule, they do not travel out of the south and play anyone decent, just stay in their nice little corner and only come out once a year.
What is wrong with what I said... State a fact use that thing between your ears

Tons of major programs don't schedule tough out of conference games, Alabama is far from the only one. Florida, Michigan, and plenty of other schools routinely don't leave the state for the first month and a half of the season. Scheduling two tough road games a year when you're Alabama isn't "manning up", its just stupid. What incentive do they have to do it? If an SEC Champion goes undefeated they will be the NC game, and if you don't think they are deserving of that if it happens you need your head checked.
You also can't have it both ways - you're whining about their weak schedule but when they do put a big-time out of conference program (Michigan) on board you write it off. Not Alabama's fault Michigan isn't the team most people thought they were. Also not their fault another team that looked top 10 (Arkansas) had their coach go on a motorcycle and leave the program a wreck.
Lucky year for them in that they're missing the best of the SEC East - UGA, Florida, South Carolina - but if they win the west they'll have to play them in the title game. If anything this is a team that is one of the reasons having a playoff will be beneficial - their schedule hasn't been as tough as expected, so make them prove it over two games against the best of the best.
Anyways sorry to use logic on this argument full of all kinds of nonsense. They've schedule home and aways with Penn State in the last few years (again, not their fault a solid program was in bad shape, you have to schedule these years in advance), and have to compete with teams with the most NFL talent every year - Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina, etc. Saying they "don't play anyone" is totally inaccurate.

Really says the guy who couldn't state a rationale thing about ND accept "I hate Rees" that is nothing but a noun prefixed by verb...
You spout things off for no reason then other for attention laughing at your keyboard while people call you a moron, you the guy at the party people send for beer so they do not have to pretend to like you for 5 min cause your married to their sister...
Alabama does nothing but stay in the south and play nobody schools... What is wrong with what I said.... You, like the other 7 year old poster just call people stupid and walk away pretending intelligence but the only reason you will not respond with facts is because you are afraid you will be drown into a debate that will expose, what you already internally know, your stupidity ...
You wouldnt happen to post under the name John Benko on other boards would you?
Billy Madison! Love it!
Gringo Mafia Director of Recruiting Analysis // POTW --> 5-16-11 / 5-30-11 / 3-5-12 / 12-30-12 / 2-24-13 / 9-1-13 / 9-22-13
Ok... Number 3
Michiagns list of completion
Just to name a few
Alabamas level of competition
West whatever the fuck
Michigan ( sucks!)
Arkansas (lost to Lou-Mon)
And back to whoever direction
They are not real they play crappy teams and rest their team and play harder teams that have already been giving them hell..
2 facts no one NO ONE can argue with
Alabama does not leave the south
Alabama does not play the same level of competition each year most other teams do (easy schedule)
You people have bought into this (wow they beat someone 52-0/// TEXAS A&M with a freshman QB beat SMu 70-10 or some crap.. where is your o my god they are so good mindset then. its just because you see Alabama you think wow, they must be really good to beat someone 52-0.. Texas A&M did the same thing... maybe better.. where is your praise for them??
Put them in 2 out of conf games a year, as should be required, against top 20 teams watch the record go up into smoke.
Schools should no longer be in charge of scheduling their opponents, should be left up to their respective conferences... Otherwise Alabama will just schedule 6 easy wins, one hard game, 4 easy wins and everyone including you folks will start calling for Saben to be placed in the Hall of Fame before he is even out of the sport....
think critically people, stop watching ESPN
Again... What facts are you saying, some stupid crap meant to make people of lesser intelligence laugh so you look and feel good... But it's all fake... Ignorance is bliss I guess..
Someone 6 feet tall next to a 9 foot person is, according to the tall man a dwarf, while the 6 foot man is considered above average..
Alabama is always standing next to people 3 ft shorter then them which is why they always look tall...
Alabama is that good and if it grabbed it balls and played tough teams once in a while they would not have a cult like following like people who refuse to use perspective and context when looking at where teams should be ranked..
why are we so worked up over Alabama? Who gives a sh!t? Stop it.
Gringo Mafia VP of Guinness Intake, once drank Guinness under the table while drinking Guinness with Guinness! POTW 12/24/12 and 7/8/13
Alabama's schedule is not as hard as expected this year, we get it. You ignoring that the rest of the SEC is full of elite programs and one's not too far behind is what is insane. Arkansas is not good - this year. You forget that least year they were ranked #3 in the country and went 11-2.
Your "facts" are not facts at all, so I will give you some.
1. Alabama does not leave the south this year, but played at Penn State LAST YEAR, so yes it happens. I'm sure you're response will be some trite response like "Penn State sucks".
Again, why should they schedule tough out of conference games on the road? Virtually no one does it, for a reason, because if you're trying to win a title its stupid. They played Michigan this year, and Virginia Tech next year at neutral sites. These are good games on their schedule.
2. Why are you ignoring that the SEC is tough? They have the most talent by whatever measure you look at (recruiting, players that get drafted in the NFL, performance in bowl games). They have any number of programs - Auburn, LSU, Florida - that have won titles in the last decade. That doesn't even include UGA, South Carolina, Arkansas, and a number of other quality teams.
3. As for the idea they play "nobody", check their strength of schedule over the past four years - #29, #22, #8, #3.
Not their fault the schedule is easy this year. Just because they're winning big does not make them "paper lions". If you want to jump on someone for not scheduling a tough team out of conference this year, look at Oregon's schedule....

So all those top draft picks they keep sending to the NFL are just our imagination?I hate Alabama and the recruiting tactics they use but they are for real.Once they start the SEC schedule they play tough teams.
Also, the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on Texas toast is nothing to shake a stick at. I'm not even sure why someone would shake a stick at some food.
That was funny too IFR, actually made me laugh out loud +1
Here's some other UM opponents over the last several years that you overlooked for some reason:
Eastern Michigan(home) three times
Western Michigan(home) twice
San Diego St.(home)
Delaware St. (home)
Apalacian St. (home)
Ball St. (home)
This must have been just an oversight on your part!
What are the two things that you notice on this list? AHA!!! Weak teams at home! HHHMMM! Why does that sound so darn familiar! Someone help me out!
And things just keep getting easier for Alabama! Imagine going into the BCSCG and only having to play their fourth toughest opponent for the nation championship! Bama's schedule this year was in fact easier than most years, but this year alone Texas A&M, LSU and Georgia are all better teams than ND.
See ya at the game.
