I'm going to use some space over here to let off steam while I kick the chew habit. Don't be alarmed or offended and feel free to chime in if you want.
Day 1 not so bad but getting the craving more frequently now. This is gonna blow big time but it's for the best. Day 1 in the books.

Day 2. Morning cravings are the worst and my mouth is tore up from all the sunflower seeds. We'll see how this day is going to play out.

Day 3 is a little easier. Making strides
Shit yeah day 4. Feeling good with a little help from sunflower seeds and my hooch snuff ( tobacco and nicotine free). I'm going to make it. Getting easy
Day 6 and mornings still suck balls
day 7 and mornings are starting to make me angry. After meals as well.

I hear you, man. Hang in there. I'm getting ready to start the same journey. Told myself I would quit when my first son was born; that was three years ago. My second son is due in a week. It's time to kick this thing.

And also check out hooch snuff. No tobacco or nicotine and it somewhat satisfies the craving of having in a dip
I've tried mint leaf snuff before, including mixing it with regular dip at a 50/50 ratio and steadily decreasing the percentage of tobacco until it was 100 percent mint leaf. That worked for a little while until I jumped head-first back into regular dip within like a week.
This Hooch Snuff is the real deal Wes. I had to wait for it to be mailed for a few days after I quit and I'm telling you it's about as close to the real stuff as you can get. It's not made from mint leaves and packs like the real stuff.Not sticky either. Look it up online for the ingridients. You'll be amazed the combination works.
I'll definitely look into that. Thanks for the tip. The mint leaf stuff certainly wasn't ideal ... didn't feel right at all. Texture and stickiness threw me off.
Day 19 and I'm starting to see benefits of quitting. My mouth feels so much better, my teeth are getting whiter, I'm sleeping better, my beer tastes so much nicer, and come to find out food has a lot more flavor than I remember. I've gained some weight but it will come off this summer. Really good decision.
That's great news. I've cut back significantly as I near zero hour. What are you going to do with all that extra cash?
Get ready for baby #2 that will be here next month. The wife has all sorts of plans that eat up all my spare time and extra cash. Gotta love it
