....Go Mormons and go Irish...I smell a National Championship and a better country!!
To think I used to close the door with the statement "I'm Catholic!" I always will be but starting to love Mormons!
Gringo Mafia VP of Guinness Intake, once drank Guinness under the table while drinking Guinness with Guinness! POTW 12/24/12 and 7/8/13
wrong board man, we don't want stuff like this to clutter our football board
ummmm really? Never said you can't vote for your boy, just stating an opinion.
Stop, just stop.
We can't get along discussing who should be ND's QB, we sure as hell can't talk about politics around here.
Dave you're a hell of a poster, but politics go on the OT board no matter which side.
As for Manti, heck yeah!
CMC--Chief Engineer for Carolina Recruiting Pipeline and Director of Zone Blocking.
As the offensive line goes, so the team goes!
IMll simply take a page out of Romney's book on this one, and not answer the question with anything specific or relevant.
Moderator: how would you fix the state of this board, specifically?
Answer: My plan will work. It will have 5 trillion posters and not rely on math to make sense. I love the middle class of posters...how many posts do they make a year again?...anything less than mllions and I simply can't identify. Wait, new idea...maybe we should promote poster growth in China to make things better in America. Gold!
It was more specific than repeating the words "hope" and "change" over and over to answer every question 4 years ago.
Ok I'm going to make sure this goes on the OT board right now
Obama has been a great president. It is so easy to say he has failed while letting other people off the hook. The entire, entire Republican Party made it a point to never cooperate with him, ever! So while it is easy to point to one man and say "it's his fault", for all your "get up in the morning and hug the constitution types" this is a democracy. It takes the congress working in order for the president to effectively do his/her job. If they sit back and sit on their hand, FACTUAL there is next to nothing the president ( no matter who it may be) can really do.
Now that is LEGAL fact, and I guess facts just get in the way of ignorance.
Move this thread on now please

3 time POTW
“This is that time when you say winning’s a choice.“
POTW 12/23-12/29, 2013
"...your boy..." ??? I really hope that was a slip of the tongue. Because if it wasn't, you just lost all credibility with me (and probably many, many others). Try using the words "your boy" when describing President Obama to any African American and take notes when you are verbally abused to within an inch of your life. And for the record - and in my opinion - your opinion sucks.
Please, please please ... I emplore everyone here, if you want to discuss politics, do it in a forum designed for politics. This is one of the few places I can go to escape the real world and enter one in which we can discuss whether or not the Fighting Irish Football Team is going to deliver another National Championship trophy to South Bend!
Let me try to end this with three points:
Firstly my apologies for starting this thread, i was trying to make a joke in the midst of the debate while invoking our hero Manti Teo and tying him to the Mormon on the screen...bad idea
Secondly BB&G: the phrase your boy is a commonly used expression where I come from in Ireland. Looking back and obviously being in America I totally see your point and apologize for not seeing the connotation you raise
Thirdly, no matter my politics Mr. Obama is my President also and, as such, will also have my support and respect while he is in office as would any President.
Lastly, no more politics on this board from me...I swear!
At least Romney isn't a socialist. 'Nuff said.
My first down vote I believe! Deserved but sad!
I've got news for you...
We're all socialists. Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc.; those are all socialist programs. You don't like 'em? Leave the country. Oh, yeah. You can't. Because everywhere else in the world that's an advanced society has universal health coverage for every single citizen. Socialism isn't a dirty word. Corporatism is.
When our current President wasn't voting "present" as a young Illinois senator, he was voting in favor of late term abortions. Do you all understand what a late term abortion is and exactly how late an abortion would occur? If this is your cup of tea or doesn't rattle your senses one bit, then there isn't really much to discuss about the two candidates.
go Irish... look forward the Jan.7 National Championship game .
It is absolutely true. It is no hidden secret. Our current president had a 100% pro choice voting record when in the Illinois legislature, including votes on late term abortions, live term protection, and parental consent. I defy you to prove me wrong. I deal in the truth and the "shame" game doesn't work on me. Late term abortions seem to have little interest to most Americans, including Father Jenkins. The people have voted accordingly. What is done is done.
