No gf, no job, no prospects, and on Veterans Day I wasn't asked if I was a Vet at first for my free meal. I didn't even know they were having such a deal. Anyway, when I was asked, I said yes but I don't carry an I.D. Card because I don't necessarily need one except for health care. So I was denied a free meal. Not a big deal but I was embarrassed and I know I shouldn't be but who would lie about that anyway. Got quite a few stares and what not. I left knowing in my heart the truth. Sorry, I just needed to vent and my dog just looks at me funny when I talk to him. I know things will pick up and all that, just venting.

I've read a few stories about guys who lie about their service record. It's very bad karma IMHO. If I was king of the nation, Vets and their families would be my top priority as far as equipment, safety, health care, post service job placement and family care. Nothing would be too much for these heroes and I'm not just talking. Humbly carry your service record proud. Don't worry about the people of this nation because most are living in a Kardashian fantasy world. They believe that Jon Stewart is actually an informed media person. My Dad was a Purple Heart winner, WWII, South Pacific, US Army. I place a flag on his grave every national holiday because he deserves that. I don't know what your back story or service record is, but, good things will come. If I was there, I would have bought you your meal.
