Obama is very good in a prepared speech situation via teleprompter...very good indeed....
--- but tonight he was continually "sacked behind the LOS" with vague responses and facial expressions.
I believe he will find continued difficulty in any structured debate situation for ONE critical reason...
--- he simply cannot run on his terrible track record.
Therefore, he has to play "prevent defense" like he did tonight, and keep his losses to a minimum.
I still feel Obama is the odds on favorite...
--- given the overwhelming demographics related to Federal "entitlements",
--- which is anywhere between 43% and 53% of our population depending on who does the number crunching.
The Biden/Ryan debate next week is no contest ...
